Healing Cooler

Since I'm on my high calorie, high fat diet it's hard to get a lot of fruits and veggies in.  I mean it takes like 14 cherries to get 80 calories! So...my body has been feeling sluggish, so I thought the best way to go about this was to get some fresh juice.  I went through a juicing phase last summer, where I made my own with a juicer but that takes a lot of effort, and I saw a new juice line in O Magazine last month and I wanted to give it a try.

The website is called healingcooler and I love that you can send someone a cooler full of juice instead of say flowers.  How creative.  I ordered two coolers, and got lots of different kinds!

they came so nicely packed!

So I am pretty partial to fruit juices but really wanted to give the veggie ones a try! And everything was so great, and tasted so fresh! They totally made me feel healthier.  The downside of ordering fresh juice of course is the overnight shipping cost and the fact that since they are not pasteurized they only last a few days...that is a big bummer -- it would have been nice for these to last like 2 weeks instead of like 4 days...

I do highly recommend this company -- they were by far cheaper than say BPC which I know is all the rage, and what a great idea to send this to someone trying to heal! Do any of you juice??

Transplant Tuesday

So I had my every 3 week check in yesterday and I really have nothing new to report back to you guys.  All my numbers are pretty much the same - weight stable - lung function still at 22%, still the same number on the list....So basically I am just waiting for a call!

Soon hopefully...

Oyyyyy

So I've been really sick the past few days, basically all week.  I think it was a combo of a lot of things: a build up of anesthesia and pain killers, globs of green grossness coming out of my sinuses, ears being blocked up, not having the luxury of vomiting things up (thanks fundoplication), massive headache, and so on, so basically for 3 straight days I was a dry heaving, sweating, headache of a mess (it felt like a hangover without the boos people) but now I think I am finally back to life.  I was supposed to have a check up Tuesday but had to ix nay that idea, so next week...

My little Pazzo was very  nice and didn't leave my side this whole time.  He is a good little boy.  I'll have to get him a really nice steak for this or something.

Anyway, on to better things, are you guys watching American Idol? Who do you want to win???

Retail Therapy

This week I needed some retail therapy - actually the longer I've been waiting for lungs the more shopping I do.  I could do worse things! Well Thursday I needed to get out after my surgery and I chose wisely and went to Target.  Who doesn't love Target? I actually had an agenda in mind because I had to get my make a wish child a gift for her trip (more on that at another post) but I knew I was going to be buying myself some goodies too!

I ended up getting an entire new set of summer plate ware, which felt really good I won't lie.  I love to make things pretty, and these dishes are totally pretty.  I mixed and matched from a few different sets to make a complete set

Pretty right?

I also got one of these tumblers from the new Calypso for Target line to use as a vase (the pink one obv)

I am also a self proclaimed makeup fanatic.  @firstclasspanda and @lindziah are the same way! So I picked up this cool item from Pixi that I've been seeing in lots of magazines. It is a cheek color as well as a lip color in one little product. I figure that it will be good to pack for trips.  The tip is the cheek color and the tube is the lip gloss. See:

Does shopping make you guys feel better when you're stressed or bummed out?

You might be seeing lots of "shopping" posts coming up....
